The most common dental emergencies include oral injuries, such as knocked-out teeth, loose teeth, cracked and broken teeth, and oral lacerations. Other common issues include severe toothaches, bleeding gums and pulled-out dental work (such as fillings and crowns). If you think your condition counts as an emergency, don’t wait! Schedule an appointment right away.
First, call our office immediately. Some conditions, like a knocked-out tooth, must be treated within 1-2 hours for the best results. After you call, recover your knocked-out tooth or pulled-out dental work (if applicable) and remember to bring it with you to your appointment. A loose tooth can be placed in a bag of cold milk to preserve the root until your appointment if you are not able to replace the tooth gently back in its socket. Use clean gauze or cotton balls to treat bleeding, if necessary, and come to our office as soon as possible for the best outcome.
We offer laughing gas sedation at our office, which ensures that you feel safe and comfortable during your appointment. Even patients with severe dental anxiety can feel relaxed and calm during an emergency appointment. If you are interested in sedation for your emergency dental appointment, be sure to mention it when you give us a call. We will gladly go over your options with you.
